Flowers bloom along the house railings,
Bougainvillea drapes along the walls,
In the silent hills and mountain passes, my heart wanders away.
The clouds bend low to kiss the town,
We walk through Chowk Bazaar and the narrow lanes,
In front of Kanchenjunga, the rhododendrons and magnolias dance,
Friends and companions shake hands, tying bonds of friendship,
The world loves the Gorkhali smile.
The sweet songs of the Monal bird, the dew that wets the roads,
The beauty of Ghoom, Batase, Dali, Chaurasta, and the peach blossoms—
I will take them all with me, decorating them in my eyes.

In the beautiful green attire embroidered with red patterns,
The white crown of the Himalayas shines upon their heads,
In the Creator’s masterpiece lies a perfect plan—
